ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Secretary of State Mark Ritchie unveiled plans for recounts in the gubernatorial election as well as three legislative races on Monday.

The recount in the governor's race, Ritchie announced, will begin across the state at 9 a.m. on Nov. 29.

The Minnesota State Canvassing Board convenes on Nov. 23 to canvass the results of this year's general election and determine whether any recounts are required under Minnesota law.

Unofficial results have Mark Dayton leading Tom Emmer in the governor's race by less than one half of one percentage point, which would force an automatic recount.

There will also likely be recounts for state House races in Districts 15B, 25B and 27A that are due to vote margins that are less than one half of one percentage point.
