A very interesting and active pattern begins Friday. Widespread rain showers slowly make their way across the state today with the first of three low pressure centers. A breeze topping out near 20 mph from the southeast helps to pump in both moisture and warmth to fuel the rain showers. The winds also help temperatures to near 60 degrees this afternoon. Some thunder is possible, but no severe weather is expected.
We can then expect a slight break between lows overnight before a second, less intense, round of showers moves through Saturday midday through early afternoon. Temperatures for this first day of the weekend are expected to reach near 70 degrees.
Then for the third round Sunday through Monday, a cooler rain is expected. Highs near 60 degrees on Sunday but cool to near 50 degrees on Monday. We finally begin to clear out after a chilly Tuesday morning near freezing.
