GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Imagine being 15 years old and you're recognized as one of the best basketball players in the country.
It's the reputation Apple Valley sophomore Tyus Jones has earned and what he lives with every day.
Jones plays point guard. The recruiting site for ESPN lists Jones as the third best player in the nation for the graduation class of 2014. A five-star recruit with the word "star" in bold letters.
Tyus has scholarship offers from some of the top basketball programs in the country including Ohio State, Michigan State and Duke.
The Minnesota Golden Gophers have also made an offer. But Tyus tells KARE 11 Sports Director Randy Shaver he is taking the process slowly.
