WAYZATA, Minn. -- On April 28th, the 64-year-old Wayzata Bar & Grill/Wayzata Wine & Spirits, a.k.a. "The Muni" will move to a brand new building. The Muni will include a new restaurant area and a liquor store with a tasting bar for wine, beer and spirits.
General Manager Gina Holman shares a recipe for walleye sliders.
Wayzata Bar & Grill's
Walleye Sliders with Arugula Spinach and Mango Salsa
1 lb. walleye (boned and skinned)
Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes - cool
Mix 2-3 green onions chopped
¼ cup diced red pepper
¼ cup mayo
½ cup breadcrumbs
½ tsp Old Bay Spice
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
•Add cooled walleye and mix all together
•Form patties and chill in plastic wrap.
•Dredge patties in seasoned flour and pan fry.
•Serve on signature 2.5" slider bun with muenster cheese and Dijon mayo.
Mango Salsa (Mix with Arugula Spinach)
Makes 1 ½ cups
1 cup diced fresh mango
1/3 cup roasted red peppers drained and diced
1/3 cup diced red onion
1 Jalapeno (fresh) seeded, minced
2 tbsp fresh mint, chopped
1 tbsp fresh limejuice
1 tsp fresh cilantro
1 cup diced fresh pineapple
Mix together and Chill - Toss with Spring Mix and a drizzle of olive oil
