GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn.-- Wooddale Church in Eden Prairie and ImpactLives, Maple Grove is embarking on an ambitious project in January - to help fight against world hunger by providing more than one million meals for hungry children in Mozambique, Africa.
Wooddale's Hunger Initiative will involve more than 4,000 volunteers from the Wooddale Church family and the community to pack meals and provide the funds to pay for meal ingredients and shipping.
Wooddale's Hunger Initiative seeks to meet a serious need in a part of the world that does not possess the infrastructure or material to combat hunger and related issues. These 31 days are a challenge to learn about and confront hunger head on in poor countries like Mozambique.
Volunteers have the opportunity to pack meals at one of four packing sites in Eden Prairie, Hopkins and Edina.
